This is a concept FAR FAR overdue!!!
AS SOON AS YOU HEAR HIS PHONE START RINGING, PRESS 1 TO GO DIRECTLY TO VOICEMAIL WITHOUT RINGING HIM!
I propose that….
This should be a STANDARD for ALL telephones.
If a caller presses 1 while hearing your phone “ringing”, then he should be dumped directly into your voicemail. If he presses it fast enough (the moment he hears the first ring), then it should NOT EVEN RING YOUR PHONE at all….
This way EVERYONE could leave a voicemail for anyone…. without disturbing them…. For example, you KNOW the person is in a meeting…. Or you KNOW it’s too late or early to be calling him….
