Do you almost immediately READ all @ replies to you, or all DMs to you, or both…… or neither?

Diet Coke often costs LESS than same size water… makes ya wonder what kinda water is in Diet Coke, AND why we’re paying so much for water!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 5:27 pm

Only in America. At a local drug store in NYC, the 50 oz Diet Coke costs LESS than the 20 oz size. Go figure. Only in American Corporatology

Motorola / Verizon, I love my new ad slogan for the Droid…. (said like the line from Little Britain…), simply….. “Apple says no….”

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 4:54 pm

So maybe it would be a better experience if I post only real tweets in my stream…. and send replies via DM instead of @ reply…..?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 4:48 pm

You think it might be cleaner on my twitter page (stream) if there are no @ replies…? easier to find and read my real posts…? (I can DM)

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 4:45 pm

When asked if the AT&T iPod game device (aka iphone) has an app for THAT. … The ad line is…. “Apple says no…” :) LOL

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 4:41 pm

Remember hysterical show Little Britain? That line, “Computer says no…” Well here’s a new ad slogan for Motorola Droid: “Apple says no…”

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 4:37 pm

Bittorrent on the Droid with total remote control of your home Bittorrent program. Can iPhone do THAT!?!? “Apple says No.” <– new slogan :)

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 4:34 pm

OH NO THEY DI-UNT!!! Transdroid app gives you Remote Control of your home Bittorrent software! Combine that with AmazonMP3 help “shopping”!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 4:08 pm

Considering replying to my incoming @ replies by DM… just to keep my twitter page cleaner (not 5 thank u msgs in a row), easier to find…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 3:59 pm

Twidroid & AnyPost, both apps should automatically queue outgoing posts when no network, in an Outbox, then auto send when connected again.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 3:54 pm

On Droid, u can turn Off the flipping. It’s called Orientation. Also I like the Screen Timeout at 10 minutes. I turn it off myself when done

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 3:38 pm

Do you read my @ replies to other people (A) in your stream, (B) when looking at my twitter page – occasionally, or (C) normally not at all.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 3:33 pm

Why those Settings? I like screen very bright at all times, hate it turning off when I’m using it, hate it flipping horizontal when set down

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 1:50 pm

On Droid, I prefer to leave Brightness set to 100% (not auto), Display
Timeout to 10 min (press button to lock), and Auto Orientation to Off

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 1:38 pm

When studying available apps, DO NOT underestimate the power and brilliance of a well-done mobile WEB interface (site) – useable on ALL…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 1:34 pm

Every time I set my phone down the display flips into horizontal mode. Annoying. Just discovered on Droid I can turn that Off, unlike iPhone

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 1:31 pm

@seamoss My “Email to Ping” address doesn’t seem to be working, for a while
now….

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 1:19 pm

Droid can run X-Rated apps. iPhone, is there an app for THAT? No. Why? Cause Apple Big Brother says no. You may not use your phone for that.

As is so often the case w proprietary tech/products/companies, ATI is the cause of nightmare video prblms so We All must stay 6 mos behind!

I feel obligated to tell ppl I was there, around the clock for the last 14 days to watch my Dad die from smoking. Oxygen pump loud as a 747.

(continued) They So downplay its use as a phone. From now on, I’m calling it “the AT&T iPod gaming device”…. (formerly known as an iPhone)

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 8:40 am

No. I’m not calling it a phone any more. Droid is a phone. Does Apple have an app for THAT? They So downplay its use as a phone. (continued)

I LOVE how WordPress.com optimized their web page for mobile users (both Droid & AT&T iPod users) http://ping.fm/MG7Wk

Today I had a technologically challenging day. I learned (1) how to kill a Droid, and (2) how to get ATI proprietary video drivers that work

Verizon told me TONIGHT: Major blackberry outage!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 10:21 pm

But since ALL data is synched live with Google anyway, a factory reset is no big deal anyway. All apps are free to reinstall too. Love Droid

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 10:20 pm

They told me I’m the first one who’s been able to do that. I left the OS too little memory to load and run. I had to do a factory reset. :)

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 10:16 pm

I ran my Droid completely out of memory (on the phone’s internal memory). I think because I synched 28 accounts with about 20,000 Contacts.

This has taught me that my non-technical husband’s instincts are correct! The SWEET SPOT of Ubuntu versions is exactly one version Behind !!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 3:54 pm

The ONLY version of Ubuntu where ATI has finally gotten their drivers working is Ubuntu 9.04 (the previous version, of 6 months ago). cont..

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 3:53 pm

This experience hs taught me lessons! PROPRIETARY ATI drivers don’t work on old Ubuntu 8.04 LTS (Long Term Support) version, nor on new 9.10

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 3:47 pm

Just spent all morning trying to install Ubuntu 9.10 on our TV computer. It installed fine, but the PROPRIETARY drivers from ATI don’t work!

We ONLY use Internet Explorer & Windows to completely eliminate them from both our lives! Good Riddance! Long live FOSS (Firefox & Ubuntu)!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 9:51 pm

We ONLY use Windows to create the Ubuntu Installer USB flash drive…. to wipe out Windows on all our friend’s PCs & replace it with Ubuntu!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Bruce @ 9:50 pm

I just had a funny thought. We ONLY use Internet Explorer to install Firefox. Similarly, we ONLY use Windows to create Ubuntu Installer USB.
