Friday Night – Saturday Morning

Ed is traveling with his Mom and Sister through Italy for two weeks right now. Though he and I have been there before, it’s his Mom and Sister’s first time traveling abroad to Europe…

Here are some excerpts from my email to him just now:

~

Hey, Honey.

I just got home from dinner with Hammy. We went to a great Italian place that I was told about by this Italian guy at my “secret celebrity bar”… The restaurant was started by two guys from Florence. It was very good.

I am now wavering back-and-forth on my daily routine schedule thoughts… Sometimes thinking that perhaps it IS better if I sleep from 12midnight – 8am every night… and shift everything accordingly… so I can hang out and become a “regular” at my “celebrity bar”…

And then going back to thinking…. No, it’s better to be More Productive on the Show during the most productive hours of the day… and be up early… and sleep 9pm-5am.

As you can see, I am obsessing about my “daily routine” again. Making it Perfect…

I’ve been getting up at 5am, and being at the gym when they open at 5:30am.

This city is SO cool to be outdoors and walking around and seeing it at 5 or 5:30am… It’s SO cool… so alive… so vibrant… I love it !

And when I am up & out & working out that early… *I* feel that vibrant, and alert, and alive too… Like I really CAN take on the world… and accomplish ANYTHING…. Like I can achieve everything I want to achieve with my show… my book…. everything!

But, I am doing Terrific with my trainer. His is coming 2 mornings, skipping 1, then coming 2 mornings, etc. I workout twice a day — even on the days that he does not come…

I am also counting my calories, and eating something every hour… He has taught me SO much already…

Meanwhile, I am thinking about you 3 Musketeers all the time…

I miss you so so so so so much.

Take it easy on the walking…. with your Mom & Sis. Don’t be afraid to take a taxi or a pedicab or a bus or something… for their sake…

WELL…. I started this letter last night at 11:30pm. Now it’s 11:25am on Saturday morning…

My trainer is kicking my butt. He says he is making me an Athlete.

He says that his NAME will be associated with MY body… so it has to be the BEST.

He is introducing me to the best nutritionist on Monday… to meet with her and talk more about my food and nutrition situation.

I have been eating VERY well. You would be shocked. For example, yesterday I had:
pre-workout: 1 apple, 1 banana, a couple sips of coffee, and 2 glasses of water
post-workout: a 5-egg-white wrap with spinach & mushrooms, on a fat-free whole wheat wrap (from energykitchen.com)
I had no lunch, and no snacks all day… (which is actually bad… I am supposed to be snacking every hour)
And for dinner, I went to the Italian restaurant and had a medium-sized portion of pasta with red meat sauce.

I am improving. Although what I had for dinner wasn’t the best choice, I was definitely under my caloric intake yesterday.

You’re going to turn around one day Soon…. and I’m going to have a Whole New Body… that you’ll barely recognize !

I bought you a little present. It’s a surprise…. but you won’t be that surprised…. But you WILL love it !

The weather here has been SO SO SO GORGEOUS… NYC in May is the Best! EVERYONE is outdoors…. and happy….. and outdoor dining…. So Awesome!

This is the time of year that you really LOVE being in New York most… Ya just wanna be outdoors ALL the time…

I can’t wait for you to be back here to enjoy it with me… And to hear all the stories about your exciting trip… !

Will your Mom & Sis be staying one more night in NYC before going back to Miami? I hope so! I wanna hear them tell the stories with you !

I have been focusing on my daily routine — and actually achieving it — can you believe it ! ?

I am getting so much accomplished….

But I miss you tremendously…

:)
