Want to keep the internet free? Do your part!

Filed under: Consumer Issues — Bruce @ 2:24 am

Greedy corporate interests are lobbying Congress to try to allow them (internet infrastructure companies) to force content providers (webmasters) to pay them extra “protection fees”.   Anyone who refuses to pay these “protection fees” will have access to their web sites purposely slowed down   ….as compared to those who do agree to pay these “protection fees”.

This comes down to one thing — plain and simple — It is extortion.

Please take a stand to protect Network Neutrality.   Let your elected representatives know that you insist on fairness, and are opposed to corporate extortion.    Email all your friends and ask them to do the same.   And take a moment to sign this electronic petition

Also, join the Electronic Frontier Foundation in their work to defend freedom in the digital world.
